Started reading my first serious anatomy text today, there's a whole new 'geography' and associated vocabulary I'm going to have to wrap my mind around. A real undiscovered country - at least for me :-)

As a first small step down the Pilates teaching road I've been given my first bit of 'home work' and have to think about how I'd present one of the basic exercises to my Pilates teacher. I never really imagined that teachers (or proto teachers in my case) could be subject to stage fright. Ah well, got to get over this if I'm going to make any progress at all down this road! :-)

After some gentle encouragement from my Pilates teacher I've decided to commit myself towards actually getting qualified to eventually teach myself. It means learning a lot of stuff I've never really formally learned before like anatomy etc. This may sound sentimental or even naive, but Pilates has become such a force for good in my own life that I really feel like I'd like to be able to give something back to the community in this area. That's the long term goal, in the sort term ('sort' being relative here) it'll be a way by which I can chart my own progress.
